Frequently Asked Questions
What Issue Do They Address?
Our Beeswax Wraps have prevented thousands of rolls of clingfilm being consumed. Not only is clingfilm harmful to the planet, wrapping your food in a plastic based material leads to the potential for BPA and other toxins from leeching into your food!
How Long Do They Last?
From opening your pack, they'll last around 2 years before gradually losing their clinging ability, you can then rewax them super easily using our rewaxing block. We've had wraps in our kitchen at home for almost 5 years!
What Are They Made From?
We source all our materials locally and from organic producers, reducing our impact on the planet. We use organic cotton, sustainably sourced beeswax, jojoba oil and tree resin.
What Sizes Are The Wraps?
Our Beeswax Wraps come in three handy sizes:
Small - 18cm x 20cm (7 x 8 inches),
Medium - 26cm x 28cm (10 x 11 inches) and
Large - 33cm x 35cm (13 x 14 inches).
They stick to one another too so can be combined to make larger pieces!
How Do They Work?
Magic! Well, not quite, but it sure does seem that way at first! The mixture of the beeswax, resin and jojoba oil provides a perfectly balanced texture that simply using the heat of your hands, moulds around any surface. So, pretty much magic!
What Can They Be Used On?
You can use our wraps on everything you'd use clingfilm for, bar raw meat, we say no to raw meat to avoid bacteria transferring. Of course you can wash your wraps using an anti-bac soap but we just think it's safer to avoid! You can also do so much more, make snack pouches and wrap flowers to name a few!
How Are They Reusable, Don't They Get Dirty?
Thanks to their waxy coating, our wraps are waterproof, this means you can wash them, simply using water and soap, and anything on the surface will come off. It's pretty similar to a wax jacket in the sense that you won't have any stains as anything will come off, even that pesky tomato sauce!
